What we check
on a factory roof.
A factory roof has to work for solar for twenty years or more. These are the points a proper survey covers before any design is final.
Roof structure and age
Steel sheds need checks on purlins, sheet condition and fixings. RCC roofs need a load and waterproofing review. If sheets are near the end of their life, replacing them first can be the right call.
Shading and usable area
Water tanks, stair rooms, chimneys and neighbouring buildings all cast shade. We map what is left and design around it.
Generator and grid connection
Most factories run a generator alongside the grid. The system needs the right controls so solar works safely with both and never back-feeds the generator.
Export or self-consumption
Whether surplus can be exported under Bangladesh’s net metering arrangements depends on your connection. If not, the system is sized to what the factory uses itself.
Fire safety and access
DC isolation, cable routing, walkways and roof access are planned to fit your building’s fire and safety requirements, including any inspections your buyers require.

questions.
Will solar replace our grid supply or generator?
No. Rooftop solar works alongside them. It covers part of your daytime demand; the grid and generator cover the rest, and all of the night.
Will installation stop production?
Most of the work happens on the roof. Connecting to your electrical system needs a short planned shutdown, which can usually be scheduled for a weekend or an off shift.
Can we install on more than one building?
Yes. Many factories spread one system across several roofs. The survey looks at each roof separately and how they connect.
What should we prepare for the first conversation?
Recent electricity bills (ideally the last 12 months), your sanctioned load, the site address and, if you have them, roof or building drawings. Photos of the roof also help.
