The right system size depends as much on how the site uses electricity as on how big the roof is.
Roof sheet condition
Panels stay on the roof for twenty years or more. If the sheets will need replacing before then, it is cheaper to do it first.
Structural load
Purlins and fixings are checked to confirm the roof can carry the panels and frames, including wind load.
Your load profile
Shift patterns, weekend use and seasonal peaks decide how much solar the site can actually use.
Generator and grid connection
Controls are specified so solar runs safely with your generator and grid connection, with zero-export control where needed.
Dust and cleaning access
Industrial and road dust reduces output. The design includes walkways and a water point so panels can be cleaned regularly.

Our warehouse uses little electricity. Is solar still worth it?
It depends on whether surplus power can be exported under net metering at your connection. If it cannot, a smaller system sized to your own use is usually the better investment. The survey answers this before you commit.
Will panels cause roof leaks?
The mounting method is chosen for your roof type, and any fixing through the sheet is sealed. The proposal explains the method and who is responsible for the roof after installation.
Can solar support cold storage?
Solar can cover part of the daytime cooling load. Cold rooms still need the grid or generator at night and on cloudy days, so the system is designed to work alongside them.
What should we prepare for the first conversation?
Recent electricity bills (ideally the last 12 months), your sanctioned load, the site address and, if you have them, roof or building drawings. Photos of the roof also help.
